The TPDC training is a 10- days residential program for youths who will be assigned to work in different villages across the constituency as part of his Ideal Village Project. The 10-day orientation camp is organized under the aegis of Surya Foundation, the organization where MP Bista grew up, trained, and was nurtured.
The trained youths are then assigned to run free coaching classes for students in the villages, lead sports initiatives for youth, register women and elderlies for various government schemes, and work for the overall development of the village.
During his association with Surya Foundation, MP Bista had himself led several Ideal Village projects across the country. The idea of MP Bista’s ideal village initiative is to enable Changemakers within the community, train and equip them towards delivering a positive change in the society.
In the first batch of the TPDC, 150 youths from different parts of Darjeeling constituency are undergoing the training and will soon be leading the Ideal Village projects in their respective villages.
